Maria Villanueva is an undocumented artist who primarily works with photography. She is currently exploring alternative forms of printmaking and new ways of working with light. Maria makes art that reflects her challenges dealing with immigration and its impact on her mental health. Her overall goal for her work is to create awareness within her community, and to give some insight into the lives of undocumented people.
